Most grade book programs force you to manually compute semester and final grades, which can
get fairly complicated. GradeBookWizard computes
these grades using formulas that you (or your school administrator) define. For instance,
your 1st semester grade formula could be 40% Q1, 40% Q2, and 20% Semester Exam as shown in the
screenshot, below. Final grades can then be 50% Sem1 and 50% Sem2, for instance.
GradeBookWizard handles all of this math for you.
Grade averages for the current grading period (shown in red column above) are updated automatically as new assignments grades are
entered. Once a grading period is completed, you can lock those grade averages to prevent
accidental changes. Semester and final grades are updated when grading periods are locked, or
new grades are entered.
You can choose to override computed grade averages and make adjustments to semester or final
grades for any student as needed. You can also add comments to semester and final grades that will
show on student report cards.
The screenshot below shows how easy it is to set up a grade formula. You can choose to share your
grade formulas with other teachers, or use formulas that have been provided by other teachers or your school administrator.
