...you need to do (por favor) to assure your success:
1. Take notes, have them and your vocab list out when you are doing work, and refer to them.
2. Complete all of your homework/in class activities and make corrections so you don't reinforce incorrect learning.
3. Participate in class--even if you don't get something correct, make an effort. It's the only way I can tell if you understand. Ask questions.
4. Make friends in class that can help you when you are stuck.
5. Come in and get help (see my other message).
6. Practice a little each night (check out the "links" on the web page for sites to vary up your review).
Check out your classroom policy sheet--the "stuff" on it isn't just "rules," it's things you can do to be successful. Also, check out the "memorization tips" on the "handouts" link on the left side.
Parents, please help me be checking in frequently with your students and encourage habits that help them succeed.
