World History - week of Sept. 3rd 1-2(A-E) - WORLD STUDIES

This week students will complete their mini unit on the tools of history.  They will be able to use latitude/longitude, compare the different map projections, and describe the five themes of geography.  Students will show their understanding of the work of an anthropologist and archeologist through their "Digging in the Past" project.  Finally, students will show understanding of the use of primary and secondary sources when analyzing history.

This week students will explain the Peloponnesian War and its results, explain how Greek legacies effect society today, detail how Phillip of Macedonia paved the way for cultural change, list the accomplishments of Alexander the Great, identify the factors that led to the breakup of his empire, and describe how society changed during the Hellenistic period.

Wilson - week of April 7th 1-2(A-E) - WORLD STUDIES

This week students will  be studying the later dynasties of China and their impact on  history. They will also complete a short lesson on the Reformation and Counter Reformation.

Tuesday- finish map on the Mongol Empire - use the link on the my Weebly page (click here for Mongol Map) if you do not finish in class

Wednesday - complete the online dynasty test  by Friday

Wilson week of April 21st 1-2(A-E) - WORLD STUDIES

This week my students will be rotating to Mrs. Walter's class for a mini unit on renaissance scientists.   Please check Mrs. Walter's website for further information.

 

Any student  may retake the Chinese dynasty test given previously given by reviewing and using  their own  notes , the notes online under Mrs. Wilson's Weebly site, or the notes attached to the test.   This must be retaken by Friday to receive the new grade.
